Tourist Visa

U.S. passports holders do not require a VISA to visit Argentina for tourism purposes. See the updated list of countries that require a visa HERE.

Tourist visas are intended for leisure and sightseeing activities only up to 90 days.

Tourist visas can be processed at any Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic. If choosing the Argentine Consulate in Atlanta, please follow the instructions below:

Requirements

  1. 2024 Visa Application Form original signed by the applicant
  2. A passport-style photo facing forward with a white background.
  3. Copy of the first page of the passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into the country, and at least one page (two sides) available.
  4. Copy of the U.S. visa or "Green Card," if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen.
  5. Proof of sufficient financial means to cover the stay:
    • Bank statements for the last 3 months
    • The consular authority may require supplementary or additional documentation, such as:
      • Letter from the employer signed by an authorized representative, certified by a Notary Public with the statement "signed before me" and legalized with the Apostille issued by the corresponding Secretary of State
      • Pay stubs for the last 3 months
      • Letter issued by the Bank certifying funds (signed, notarized, and legalized with the Apostille)
  6. Round-trip airfare reservation with the name as it appears in the passport (it is recommended not to purchase tickets until the visa has been granted)
  7. Hotel reservation and travel itinerary with the name as it appears in the passport
  8. If there is no hotel reservation and a personal invitation is involved, a Letter of Invitation, signed before a Notary Public and legalized by the Notary Public Association, must be sent by postal mail to the Argentine consulate or use the TAD platform option B, see the previous link.
  9. Requirements and Conditions Consent Form completed and signed
  10. Consular interview

The consular authority may require supplementary or additional documentation as deemed necessary, before or after the scheduled appointment date at the consulate.

How to schedule an appointment for the interview

  • You can schedule an appointment by email at visas_catla@mrecic.gov.ar or by postal mail to our offices attaching a copy of all the documentation listed in the Requirements.
  • The interview will only be scheduled once all documents have been received and reviewed and according to the available appointments.
  • All information sent by email must be printed and presented in original and in the order described in this form at the time of the interview to avoid rescheduling your appointment.

Cost

  • Consular fee: $150, you will receive instructions to make a deposit at the Bank 
  • You may pay an urgent processing fee of $40 for your application to be processed the same day, subject to availability – Please inquire about this option.

IMPORTANT

  1. Failure to present all requested original documentation and information will result in the cancellation of the appointment, which will be rescheduled for a later date once all required documentation has been received and reviewed, and it will be subject to existing availability.
  2. THE MERE COMPLIANCE WITH THE MENTIONED REQUIREMENTS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE GRANTING OF THE VISA, AS THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE PREROGATIVE OF THE ARGENTINE STATE.
  3. Please note that, depending on availability, the visa process may take up to 6 or 8 weeks after the interview.
