Examples of "Commercial Documents" include:
- Certificates of origin
- Commercial invoices
- Refurbishment certificates
- Other documents
- Commercial documents where the merchandise is not from the U.S.
The fee for processing commercial documents is USD 200 per document.
ALL DOCUMENTS TO BE LEGALIZED OR ENDORSED WITH A CONSULAR SEAL MUST INCLUDE A HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE, DATE, AND THE SEAL OF YOUR STATE'S CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
ONLY DOCUMENTS ISSUED IN STATES WITHIN OUR JURISDICTION CAN BE LEGALIZED AT THIS CONSULATE GENERAL.
Registration of Chamber of Commerce Signatures
All representatives of the chambers of commerce who sign documents must be previously registered in our records. To register, the Chamber must submit a letter on official letterhead including the following details of the signer: full name, position, and handwritten signature. You can download a sample letter HERE.
The Chamber will send the original letter by postal mail and a copy by e-mail (catla@mrecic.gov.ar) with the subject line: "Chamber Signature Registration" (See the attached form at the end)
Digital signatures that do not have a certificate of authenticity will not be accepted. If the signature is not holographic, it must have a Certificate number for verification.
The date of the commercial document must not be older than 1 year.
